Telshe Yesiva honors Rabbi Baron
This
year at their 67th annual dinner, Telshe Yeshiva will be honoring a rabbi who
is well known in, and is highly respected across the entire Jewish community,
Rabbi Noson Tzvi Baron Shlit"a, who will receive the Harbotzas Torah Award. The
dinner will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2008 (16 Elul 5768) in the Young
Israel of Beachwood.
While the dinner is drawing near, there is still
time for everyone in our community to show their respect and gratitude to one
of our most respected rabbis, teachers, and friends; as well as Cleveland's
home-town Yeshiva, Telshe. Please review the PDF document linked

In addition to attending this dinner, please consider placing an ad in the
journal, one I am sure Rabbi Baron and his family will cherish for years to
come.
At the dinner, Telshe Yeshiva will also honor Rabbi Shlomo
Chaimovits with the Distinguished Alumnus Award. Dinner guests will also be
honored with a special keynote address by HaRav Yaakov Perlow, the Novominsker
Rebbe. The dinner is also in tribute to the memory of Rebbetzin Miriam Levy,
a"h, a long-time teacher at the Hebrew Academy. Considering the guests and
honorees, I believe this year's annual dinner will one of the most talked about
events of the year across all segments of Cleveland's Jewish community. |

The community mourns the passing of Mr. Arthur Goldfarb, former
President of Ohr Chodosh. The funeral will be 2 PM, Tuesday, at
Berkowitz-Kumin. Burrial will be at the Beit Olam Cemetary at the corner of
Chagrin and Richmond Roads. Shiva will be at their home 2370 Traymore Rd in
University Heights. |

The community mourns the passing of Mrs Helen Strulovits. The
funeral will be 4:30 PM, Tuesday, graveside at the Beit Olam Cemetary at the
corner of Chagrin and Richmond Roads. Shiva will be at the Strulovits home,
23749 Wendover Drive in Beachwood. |

The community mourns the passing of Mr. Gerald Spero, husband of
Florence Spero. The Funeral will take place Monday, August 25, 2008 at 2:00 pm
at Berkowitz-Kumin. Burial will be at Zion Memorial. Shiva information will be

each morning this week at the Kirchick's home, 25185 Penshurst. We don't have
any information about a Mincha Minyan, but we know there will not be one today
(Tisha B'Av). |

The Levaya is scheduled to take place today (Sunday) at 4:30PM inYeshiva Bais
Yehudah in Detroit. The Kevura will take place in Eretz Yisroel, and aLevaya is
scheduled for Monday afternoon at JFK Airport. As of this time, the JFK Levaya
will take place from 12:00 - 3:00PM [but times will be reconfirmed later]. |

principal of Mosdos, died shabbos. The Levaya is in Detroit at 4:30 PM
